December 21, 2013Winter’s Solstice
On December 21, occurs the astronomical phenomenon known as winter solstice where the sun is perpendicular to the Earth’s equator more so we have the longest night of the year. This date was of great importance to the Mayan civilization because in their cosmic vision it represented a moment of regeneration.
