Through El Castellano’s affiliation with vacation exchange company, Interval International, you can trade your unit and travel to more than 4,000 resorts worldwide. Your Vacation, Guaranteed
At El Castellano your unit and week are guaranteed, meaning that you return to the same suite, the same week, year after year. You don’t even have to call to make a reservation, your suite is ready and we are expecting you.
When you become an El Castellano member you are purchasing an equity interest in a unit, which you own for 49 years through your Membership Agreement. In addition, there is a trust or fideicomiso established in a Mexican Bank to guarantee the residual rights . When the trust expires, the resort will be sold, and the net proceeds will be distributed in even shares amongst the members on record. Your membership fee is a one-time investment, with return, and will cover your vacation up to the year 2053.
As an El Castellano member you also pay an annual Club Service Fee that covers maid service, amenities and everything needed to maintain your unit so that it is in tiptop condition when you arrive to enjoy it.
You can use your villa during the week you purchased, for example in October, or you can opt to loan it to friends, rent it, include it in your estate, trade it for another week at a different time of the year or exchange it to other international locations.
